Art show opening at Mumm w/ Ansel Adams and George Rose

The opening of Mumm's new installment with George Rose and Ansel Adams was this last Saturday.

George Rose is known best for his portraits of celebrities. Most of the photos on display were taken between 1978 and 1991. There were some amazing photos of legends such as David Bowie, Freddie Mercury, Deborah Harry and Tom Petty (just to name a few)
Ansel Adams is one of the most respected landscape photographers. His use of lighting and contrast enhanced by his amazing "dark room" abilities makes him a truly awesome photographer.

I guess Napa doesn't have to be so boring. I enjoyed this event very much.

BAR CODE

San Francisco's first installment of the Bar Code was this last Thursday night.
An eclectic mixture of Fashion, art, music and style. Two bars were serving a list of some very cool and refreshing "specialty" drinks.
The event features designers and boutique clothing outlets (mostly for women). A "live" silk screen-er was making on demand prints while you wait. Live music and a very cool lounge with some classic furniture that you can purchase if youre in the mood. This bi-monthly event is one I will try not to miss.

Sebastien Tellier

I like Sebastien Tellier for his style and attitude. Seeing him live was was pretty cool but I think the coolest thing about seeing him live was just that I was seeing him. Maybe it's that I still don't enjoy concerts very much and by no means do I want to be a "critic" but I will say seeing Sabastien once was enough for me.

He came across as an arrogant asshole (as expected) and thats great... that's entertainment. The band was talented and at one point in the show I was moving slightly side to side. Once I realized I was trying...I just stopped.

Sebastien Tellier's music and attitude is one I would expect from a french kid who's parents were rich artists. A house full of books and oil canvases stacked against the worn walls of the 4 story home in Paris.

Please don't forget, this is someone I could only dream to be. After all Andy Warhol said "Art is what you can get away with".

P.S. Some of his re-mixed songs are super tight...
